Interactik is a sole trader business based in Australia, with people in Melbourne and Colombo. This policy explains how Interactik (“we”, “us”) handles personal information. We keep it short because we collect very little. We follow the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and, for our Colombo team, Sri Lanka’s Personal Data Protection Act No. 9 of 2022.
What we collect
We only collect what you choose to send us.
- When you contact us about a project: your name, email address, company (if you give it), your message, and any budget or timeline you choose.
- When you send an open application: your name, email address, the area you’re interested in, a portfolio or LinkedIn link, a note, and your CV if you attach one.
- When you email us directly: whatever you include in your email.
We don’t run advertising trackers, and this website doesn’t set cookies for marketing or analytics.
How we use it
We use your information to read and reply to your message, to have the conversation you asked for, and, for applications, to consider you for current or future roles. We don’t sell it, rent it or add you to a mailing list.
How your message reaches us
When you submit a form, your details are checked for spam and sent straight to our inbox as an email. The website itself doesn’t store your submission.
To do that we use a small number of service providers:
- Cloudflare hosts this website and provides Turnstile, which helps tell people from bots. It may process your IP address and basic browser information to do this.
- Resend delivers form submissions to our inbox by email.
- Google Workspace stores the emails we receive, like any other email.
These providers may process information outside Australia, including in the United States. We choose providers with strong security and privacy commitments.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for as long as they’re useful for the conversation or any work that follows, and then delete them. We keep open applications for up to 12 months so we can get back in touch if a suitable role comes up, unless you ask us to delete yours sooner.
Keeping it safe
We limit access to the people who need it, use secure, well-known providers, and use encrypted connections (HTTPS) across this website.
Your choices
You can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you,
- correct anything that’s wrong,
- delete your information.

This website links to other websites. Their own privacy policies apply when you visit them.
Complaints
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, email us first so we can put it right. If you’re still not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
